VINTAGE - CREATIVE - BALANCED
Asscher cut diamond was originally developed in 1902, making it relatively old in the terms of diamond cuts. The Asscher appears similar to a square emerald diamond, the Asscher has 72 facets, which are larger and wider-set —three rows on top and three on the bottom. The elegant step cut draws your eye into the centre of the stone, both captivating and mesmerising anyone who catches its gaze. While the width of these corners may vary, the Asscher creates an incredible optical illusion known as the “Hall of Mirrors”. However, its signature forma is square shaped and has more refined corner edges. The step cut emphasises the clarity of the diamond, and it is ideal for showcasing higher clarity diamonds. Asscher cuts are a popular shape that was developed during the Art Deco Period. These are quite trendy in their appeal.
