GUIDE DIAMOND SIZES

A diamond’s weight never measures its size. For better understanding, diamond’s weight should always be evaluated in terms of its cut grade and the difference across the diamond’s top which is measured in millimetres as standard. Factors such as the diamond shape and its cut can affect the size. Some shapes of the same carat weight may look larger or smaller when compared and viewed from the top. Nothing is more impactful on a diamond’s brilliance than its cut. A well cut diamond sparkles most stunningly. a good, fair or poor cut diamond may sometimes make a diamond look smaller than another “excellent” cut diamond of the same weight. Carat weight is a measure of a diamond’s weight, and not its size, it is a consistent indicator of how large a diamond will look, when viewed from the top.
